Visit to Fairford and Kelmscott

On 10 September The Glaziers teamed up with the 20 Ghost Club to visit Fairford and Kelmscott.  The 20 Ghost Club is for owners of vintage Rolls-Royce motor cars, and some 14 were there.  The Glaziers were given the opportunity to travel in the cars between venues, and here we see Liveryman Angela Harwood and Mr Julian Hind braving the rigours of  the dicky seat.  Fortunately the weather was fine.

The Master is the owner of a particularly pink Rolls-Royce, seen here with Sir John in the driving seat and the tower of Fairford Church in the background. In the church we had earlier enjoyed viewing one of the finest sets of preserved medieval stained glass in England after a fascinating talk from Assistant Keith Barley, who has just completed a 25-year restoration of the windows.
