Welcome to the Competition Information, Stevens Competition Brief and Entry Form for the 2012 Stevens Competition for Architectural Glass Design, which is also available from the Worldskills website
The Particulars and Conditions of Entry conform to a format used nationally by World Skills UK, and prospective entrants must register online via the Worldskills website before 15 March 2012. World Skills UK is a part of the National Apprenticeship Service, and aims to encourage and recognise best practice in many practical occupations by holding national competitions. The competition is however organised by volunteers from the Glaziers' Company.
When you register, you will be required to provide a Nom de Plume to identify your entry, since judging by the Professional Panel is strictly anonymous.
The Company continues to welcome comments and feedback from colleges and competitors. We are always open to suggestions for improving the quality of the competition and the student seminar, although as in many other fields realistically we are limited by our finances and by the time our volunteer organisers can contribute.
The 2012 competition provides a unique opportunity for emerging glass artists to design for an exciting and worthwhile project at St. Michael’s Hospice, Hereford. We hope you enjoy the challenge.
